After getting the Bronco II home and test driving it a little I purchased a new set of sneakers for it. The tires I selected were the Interco TrXus STS 31x11.5 all around. I loaded the tires into the rig and headed off. Well, needless to say i was disappointed with the results, but in retrospct feel that when the fixes are complete I should have a decent truck. Here are the deficiencies they found and the corrective actions I have taken:

Problem: Fix:
Tire tread bellow minimum acceptable Bought new tires from National Tire & Wheel
Battery hold down missing Acquired a hold down from the junk yard
Driver side windshield washer nozzle inop (original nozzle was removed and two were installed under the cowl) Acquired a factory original from the junk yard
Shift boot ripped Acquired one from the junk yard
Driver side mirror loose (screw rusted and could not loosen or tighten) Acquired a mirror assembly from the junk yard
Horn did not work Bought a generic horn button from NAPA and mounted it to the dash and ran a wire to the fuse box and horn
Passenger front side maker light missing Removed one from my F-250 and installed it
Dash lights/dimmer inop Removed headlight switch and soldered spring back in place
Hole in floor pan under side of rear passenger seat and bolt missing Plated over hole, drilled it and replaced seat hold down bolt
Parking brake does not return when release pulled (missing spring at frame) Acquired a spring from the junk yard
One rubber body mount bushing cracked Bought an Energy Suspension body mount bushing kit from Summit Racing and new mini lift blocks from SportzTrailers
Rear wiper/washer switch in dash but no wiper/washer assembly on rear (inspector mistook spare tire carrier mounting holes for wiper/washer mounting holes) Removed switch from dash. Acquired a spare tire carrier assembly from the junk yard
New tires will stick out beyond body Bought some fender flares from J.C. Whitney
Rear brakes not properly adjusted Clean brake assembly parts and adjust
Weeping front brake line Replace line
Quarter sized rust hole near rear body mount on passenger side body Ran steel strap across entire width, drillled and mounted new body bushings and lift blocks
One light on visor missing amber cover Bought Lund Moon Visor kit from Summit Racing
