an add-a-link page where you can list your site. All of this is free.
We need Coordinators for musters. Send us the 'who, what, where' and we will publish it.
But, you do not need to attend an organized muster for this to be successful. This can be
done individually and is a true grassroots effort to let our elected officials know we
support our 2nd Amendment right.

First Saturday in October Event Planned -- 2nd Amendment Right Muster and Education Day
(2ARMED)
San Angelo, Texas - 19 June 2001, 9AM (CST) -- A nationwide "2nd Amendment
Right Muster and Education Day (2ARMED)" is being planned
for 10am, the first Saturday in October, this year it is 6 October 2001, in support of 2nd
amendment rights and to provide firearm safety education. Families, friends and neighbors
will muster at shooting ranges all over the nation and safely fire rounds at a target as a
statement supporting the right to keep and bear arms for all law-abiding citizens.
The first Saturday was selected for a couple of reasons - one is most people arent
working and another is its symbolic on the first of exercising the First Amendment
right (in support of the Second Amendment). This muster is timed prior to the opening of
hunting season in many parts of the United States. A large number of men, women and
children, expert and novice, will be preparing for the hunting season.
We feel this will be an excellent time and opportunity to reaffirm our belief in the
Second Amendment and to educate, or refresh, ourselves on firearm safety. It will
demonstrate to the general public and elected officials the resolve and the shear number
of individuals committed to retaining their Second Amendment right, and send a message to
cease enacting laws that infringe on this right for law-abiding citizens.
This effort will also include a letter-writing campaign to congressional representatives,
senators, governors, presidential hopefuls, and the President informing them of the
participants' attendance and their insistence that infringements on their constitutional
right must cease. As a memento of the event, the participants are encouraged to include
their signed used targets, spent cartridges in a mailer box, and/or photographs with the
letters to their elected officials.
Individuals or organizations interested in hosting a 2ARMED event are encouraged to visit
our website for ideas and resources to aid them in conducting a successful muster.
