Military Safety Links:ASC - The Army Safety Center activities are organized to protect the force and enhance warfighting capabilities through a systematic and progressive process of hazard identification and risk management. These activities support commanders by early identification of safety problems that could degrade readiness or mission accomplishment. When safety problems are identified, actions to address them are initiated and implemented through command channels. NSC - The Naval Safety Center's purpose is to enhance the warfighting capability of the Navy and Marine Corps by arming our Sailors, Marines and civilians with the knowledge they need to save lives and preserve resources. USMC Safety Division - The Marine Corps Safety Division (SD) was formed in July 1993 as part of a general reorganization of HQMC. SD combined the Aviation Safety and Analysis Branch (ASA) from the Aviation Department, with the Safety Branch (MHS) from the Manpower Department. The intent was to consolidate USMC safety programs to implement an effective strategy of force protection. SD has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of Marine Corps safety. SD provides direct support to the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps in determining Marine Corps Safety Program policies and objectives, developing procedural guides, preparing implementing directives and in coordinating and managing the Marine Corps Safety Program. AFSC - The Air Force Safety Center develops, implements, executes and evaluates Air Force aviation, ground, weapons, space and system mishap prevention, and nuclear surety programs to preserve combat readiness; conducts research to promote safety awareness and mishap prevention; oversees mishap investigations, evaluates corrective actions and ensures implementation; develops and directs safety and operational risk management education.
